Walmart has cut the virtual ribbon on its 2023 Black Friday sale.
The big box store’s first of two “Black Friday Deals” events began online at 12 p.m. ET today (Wednesday, Nov. 8), ushering in “the season’s best deals on gifts from all the top brands, including Apple, Dyson, LEGO, LG and Samsung,” per a press release. The sale will feature three hours of early access for paid (non-trial) members of its Walmart+ program before it opens to all shoppers at 3 p.m. ET. The markdowns will then continue in Walmart stores this Friday, Nov. 10 at 6 a.m. local time.

Why we like it
It’s a Dyson vacuum with a laser and frankly, we’re obsessed with it. Even at its full $649, we consider this vacuum worth it, thanks to it being portable and lightweight, great against pet hair, dust, and glass, and of course, the laser that illuminates every last spec of dirt on your floor (it’s equal parts delightful and horrifying). At $400, this is the lowest price this vacuum has ever hit by $50. This deal is so good that it has at least one Mashable shopping reporter considering biting the bullet and adding it to their cart weeks before Black Friday.

Why we like it
Anyone who’s even casually looked at gaming laptops knows they’re not particularly affordable. Though this MSI isn’t the latest and greatest, this sub-$500 laptop is still worth a second look. The Intel H-Series processor is designed to bring desktop-worthy power and you get 16GB of memory and 512GB of built-in storage for again, under $500. Those specs at this price point aren’t easy to come by, so if you’ve been looking for a budget-friendly gaming laptop that can actually run games, this MSI deal is a pretty good contender.

Why we like it
It may not be the most exciting Apple deal of this sale — that honor would go to the $50 markdown on the entire Apple Watch Series 9 line — but these AirPods have never been this cheap. Even though they’re not the latest generation, value-wise, they’re a much better pick than the 3rd gen which didn’t really bring much in terms of upgrades. Basically, if you want a pair of Apple headphones that’ll pair quickly, this is your cheapest option by at least $80. You’ll want to act quickly, though — Amazon price matched this deal and sold out of the AirPods within a couple of hours.
