We’ve tried out a slew of robot vacuums over the years, and virtually all of them go on sale during the holiday shopping season. This Cyber Monday is no different. The Roomba by iRobot may be seen as the king of the robo-vacuum industry, but that might change soon. With that in mind, now may be the best time to try out a Shark vacuum — and their best-selling model is currently at a new low price.
Amazon currently has the Shark AI Ultra Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum on sale for only $249.99. That’s 58% off the $599.99 listing price and $50 cheaper than the previous record-low price of $300.
We’ve always had good experiences with Shark’s robot vacuums, and with more than 38,000 reviews, this specific model is currently the top-selling robot vacuum on Amazon.
Despite the low price, this cleaning machine features both self-emptying and LiDAR navigation. This particular model also has Shark’s signature “Matrix” cleaning mode, which is basically just a fancy way of saying spot cleaning. As Mashable’s Leah Stodart found, using the Matrix cleaning feature allows users to set a specific zone for a one-time clean in the Shark app just by dragging a square in the spot cleaning tab. After that, the Shark robot vacuum will go over that spot multiple times from different angles to make sure the job gets done.
Shockingly, this obvious feature is sorely lacking in other brands’ robovacs, even in more advanced models that cost far more.
