The seventh-generation iPad mini packs some predictable (but welcome) upgrades. But it’s still pretty great. And it’s on sale for under $400 once again.
As of Aug. 7, you can pick up the Apple iPad mini (A17 Pro, 128GB, WiFi) for just $399 at Amazon and Best Buy. That’s $100 or 20% off its list price, and just $20 shy of its record-low Prime Day price.
Despite its small build, the iPad mini packs a lot of power, thanks to the A17 Pro chip, a boost in RAM, Apple Intelligence compatibility, and a starting storage of 128GB. With its compact size, it makes a great choice for streaming, reading, and casual scrolling on the go. Mashable’s reviewer Stan Schroeder writes, “If you’re new to the iPad, and you want the most compact one around (or any compact tablet), the new iPad mini 7 is the best choice.”
While the iPad mini has dropped to $399 a few times in the past, this is the first time we’ve seen the price drop since Prime Day. If you’re in the market for a new tablet and have had the smallest iPad on your radar, now’s a great time to grab it.
