SAVE $250: As of April 14, LG’s 65-inch UT70 4K UHD Smart TV is available for $349.99 at Best Buy. That’s $250 off its regular price of $599.99.

A $250 discount on a 65-inch screen? That’s the kind of deal that makes me double-check my living room wall for available real estate. LG’s UT70 isn’t trying to be the crown jewel of your home theater setup, but it’s shockingly well-equipped for the price. Best Buy has it for $349.99 right now, which is wild considering how many feature-stripped, no-name TVs still hover around this price point.
I think what makes this deal genuinely tempting is how much functionality LG crammed into a so-called “budget” screen. You’re still getting 4K resolution, HDR10 Pro for richer contrast, and a picture processor with a name almost as long as its spec sheet: α5 AI Processor Gen7. It adds a nice boost to brightness, color, and clarity — none of which I expected to see on a $349 TV.

LG also tossed in FILMMAKER MODE, so if you’re the kind of person who loses sleep over motion smoothing, you’re covered. Personally, I love how this mode strips away all the unnecessary post-processing. Movies look like movies again, not soap operas. It’s the little things.
For gamers or those of us still clinging to cloud gaming dreams, the inclusion of Game Optimizer and GeForce NOW support is a surprisingly nice touch. No console? No problem. I’m not saying it’ll rival an OLED, but I am saying this is more than good enough for casual couch co-op or binging a bunch of Netflix.

Sound isn’t a total afterthought either. AI Sound 5.1 isn’t actual surround, but it fakes it well enough that you won’t be scrambling to buy a soundbar five minutes after setup.
If I didn’t already have a 65-inch TV (okay, two), I’d be all over this. For the price, you’re getting a smart TV that doesn’t feel dumbed down.
