Kia has unveiled the EV6 with images of the car’s exterior and interior, ahead of its premiere later this month.
The company calls the EV6 its first “dedicated battery electric vehicle,” meaning its the first car in Kia’s lineup to be electric-only (unlike, say, the Kia Niro, which also comes as hybrid).
The company saved the details on the EV6’s specifications for the March launch. We know, however, that the EV6 was designed under Kia’s new “Opposites United” design philosophy, which looks at contrasts in nature and humanity for inspiration.
“With EV6 we aimed to create a distinctive, impactful design by using a combination of sophisticated, high-tech features on pure and rich volumes, while providing a unique space as a futuristic EV,” said Karim Habib, Kia’s senior vice president and head of global design center, in a statement.
