Cadillac’s Lyriq electric SUV will arrive sooner than expected after initial pandemic-related delays, the company announced Wednesday, along with pricing and new photos of the EV.
The first electric Cadillac will be available in 2022 with production starting in the first part of the year. Reservations will open in September 2021 with the car priced at $59,990 to start. It looks like Cadillac is pricing it to go against the Tesla Model Y. That electric SUV starts at just over $50,000 with a 326-mile range.
When the Lyriq was first introduced last year, Cadillac anticipated production starting at the end of 2022. Now Cadillac’s 300-mile range, five-seater luxury EV will be here sooner as GM ramps up its electric vehicle production.
