Best Buy's pre-Black Friday sale is live — and hints at what'll be on sale in November

TL;DR: Best Buy is running a pre-Black Friday Flash Sale through Oct. 12. Here are our favorite deals at a glance:

Black Friday preparations stealing Halloween’s thunder is a pretty predictable addition to the shopping calendar each year.

Best Buy couldn’t even wait until mid-October to throw an early holiday sale. From Oct. 10 through Oct. 12, Best Buy’s pre-Black Friday Flash Sale covers Apple devices, 4K TVs, laptops, small kitchen appliances, toys, and more. (Target had the same idea.)

Below are some of our favorite deals from the sale, but you can flip through the whole seven-page sale flyer at blackfriday.com.

Apple AirPods Max — $449.99 (save $100)

The AirPods Max offer some of the most stellar audio quality on the market. If you couldn’t stomach the splurge when they were full price, maybe a $100 discount can justify it. Grab any color of the AirPods Max for a record-low price of $449.99.

NordicTrack Commercial S15i Studio Cycle — $999.99 (save $800)

NordicTrack’s Commercial S15i Studio Cycle is a beast of a workout machine, and you can add it to your home gym for under $1,000. You’ll find out just how versatile it can be through the included 30-day trial of iFit, where you can take bike rides, follow weight sessions, join a yoga class, and more on the 15-inch touchscreen.

LG 60-inch 4K UHD Smart TV (UP8000) — $599.99 (save $100)

Please don’t tell us you’re watching Squid Game or American Horror Story on a tiny screen. Boost your binges to 60 inches with $100 off this 4K TV from LG, which uses a quad-core processor to upscale content to vivid cinematic quality.

The products that Best Buy has chosen to highlight for holiday prep give us some pretty solid intel about what Best Buy will have in store for actual Black Friday. 4K TVs (both budget-friendly entry level models and mainstream QLEDs made affordable-ish), laptops and 2-in-1s from Microsoft, HP, and Lenovo, Apple devices, and all things video games have been Best Buy’s sweet spot forever, so we expect multiple ad pages devoted to those. (Best Buy dropped its official 2020 Black Friday ad on Oct. 29. It could be even earlier in 2021.)

At-home fitness has been a reigning theme during Covid Times, and we expect that to carry over into a main category for Black Friday. Like the Flash Sale’s glorious deal on the high-end NordicTrack bike, look out of more deals from Best Buy on treadmills, bikes, and rowing machines.

Given that pre-Black Friday shenanigans are kicking off *checks notes* not even two weeks into October, we can plan to start seeing real Black Friday deals pop up multiple days before Nov. 26. Keep up with all of the best Black Friday deals (from Best Buy and beyond) as they drop here.
