UPDATE: Nov. 6, 2023, 1:15 p.m. EST This story has been updated with more information about Amazon’s Black Friday sale and a list of certain deals that will be featured in it.
After sticking to a 48-hour formula for its Black Friday sale for the past two years, Amazon is reverting back to its old ways.
The retail giant announced Monday that its 2023 Black Friday sale will start on Friday, Nov. 17 (or a week before the actual holiday), with doorbusters lingering through Cyber Monday on Nov. 27. That’s 11 full days of holiday savings where we can expect to see new record-low pricing on brands like LEGO, Peloton, and YETI, per a press release, as well as limited-time restocks of popular gifts.
This is a return to form for Amazon, which held weeklong Black Friday savings events back in 2018, 2019, and 2020.
The retailer said it will drop new deals “as often as every five minutes during select periods” throughout its Black Friday and Cyber Monday events. It will also release a batch of them during the first-ever Black Friday NFL game — a matchup between the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins — which will air on Prime Video starting at 3 p.m. ET. You won’t need an Amazon Prime membership to tune in, just an Amazon account.
As part of its announcement, Amazon also launched a seasonal discount on its Audible audiobook and podcast service: New customers can snag a four-month Audible Premium Plus subscription for just $5.95/month (or 60% off) now through Dec. 31.
