Save $302 and get a $100 credit: Amazon is offering the 82-inch Samsung TU6950 Series 4K TV for $302 off plus a $100 credit via email for Prime Day. This brings the TV to $1,097.99.
Big-screen 4K TVs aren’t as expensive as they used to be. Even so, an 82-inch TV for around $1,000 is pretty wild.
Prime Day 2021 makes it possible: Amazon is offering the 82-inch Samsung 6950 Series 4K TV from 2020 for $1,197.99 — and to pull ahead of Best Buy and Samsung.com, which are also offering that same price within $2, Amazon will email you a $100 credit after your purchase. That’s technically a $402 savings, making the huge 2020 TV just $1,097.99 (in a roundabout sort of way).
The TU6950 Series isn’t like Samsung’s collection of budget TVs from the past few years. This solid performer broadcasts your stuff on Samsung’s Crystal Display, fine-tuning cable or Blu-ray content to as close to 4K as possible. Its contrast ratio slaps, and video game graphics have especially crisp movement for an entry-level model.
The Tizen OS layout is also steps ahead of Samsung’s previous smart TV interfaces. Searching for movies or shows and switching between apps is a straightforward enough process for kids to figure out on their own.
