Ryan is currently serving as an advisor and consultant in the AI technology space helping organizations realize value from digital adoption and workforce optimization with AI and intelligent automation.
In his role as the former Vice President of Marketing at AI technology start-up AYR, Ryan played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s market presence and strategic direction.
Ryan’s experience extends to his tenure at the intelligent automation software company ABBYY, where he led the product marketing strategy for process intelligence. Prior to this, he spearheaded ABBYY’s global content and digital experience strategy from 2020-2022.
ABBYY acquired technology start-up TimelinePI, Inc. in August 2019, where Ryan was the head of the Process Intelligence company’s marketing function. Since the acquisition, he oversaw the development of ABBYY Timeline’s marketing, messaging, and positioning that facilitated and drove education to ABBYY’s global sales teams, partners, and customer channels about the growing Process Intelligence trend.
Before TimelinePI, Ryan led an independent consultancy firm for small and medium enterprises and worked with the public sector for the City of Philadelphia and other state and local agencies. His focus was on IT planning, streamlining and modernizing citizen (customer) experiences, and implementing and integrating enterprise technologies that transformed organizations for the digital age.
Ryan holds a degree in Business Analytics and Operations Management and earned his Master of Business Administration from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania. Ryan later earned an Executive Education certificate from Columbia Business School, and digital marketing certification from the American Marketing Association and the Digital Marketing Institute.
He maintains an active role in academia as an Adjunct Instructor at Widener University, teaching business management and digital media informatics, and as an Advisory Board member at the University of California Los Angeles.
