SAVE $250: Best Buy has the iRobot Roomba i7+ marked down to just $549.99 as part of its first Black Friday sale from Oct. 19 to Oct. 22. It usually retails for $799.99, so this saves you 31% — its biggest discount to date.

Black Friday has always been an excellent time to pick up a new robot vacuum. But with this year’s sales arriving earlier than ever in the face of looming supply chain issues — haven’t you heard? — October is panning out to be a Cheap Roomba-a-thon™️ at several major retailers.

It’s Best Buy’s turn up to bat this week. Its first Black Friday event dedicates a whole section of deals to cleaning tech, including the smart iRobot Roomba i7+. If you hurry (supplies are limited), you can grab it on sale for just $549.99 — that’s 31% off its suggested retail price of $799.99, which is the highest discount we’ve ever seen on it. (Previously, it had dipped down to a low of $599 at Walmart.)

Best Buy is covering all of its holiday deals with a new “Black Friday Price Guarantee” this year, so this is very likely the best price we’ll see on the i7+ all season. (The last time we checked, it was full price at Walmart and sold out at both Amazon and Target.) But if for any reason it does get cheaper, the store will automatically refund the difference if you’re a member of its (free) My Best Buy or (paid) Totaltech programs.

Robot vacuums don’t age as fast as other tech, like smartphones and TVs, so the fact that the i7+ came out in 2018 isn’t a cause for concern. (Fun fact: It actually retailed for $999.99 upon launch before a permanent price drop last year, if you’re really trying to sell yourself on Best Buy’s early Black Friday deal.) It’s still one of the fancier robot vacuums in iRobot’s lineup, with self-emptying/charging capabilities in addition to an Imprint Smart Mapping feature that can remember up to 10 different floor plans and adapt to changing home environments.

Plus, its three-stage cleaning system offers ten times the suction strength of the brand’s entry-level 600 Series models. This power is a major selling point for BestBuy.com reviewers, who have given it an impressive 4.6/5-star rating — the highest of any singular Roomba on the site.
